My Story

For most of my life I have been intrigued by a couple of things: how things work, interconnection, & the sheer elegant beauty of plants and nature.  When I was a teenager I remember finding a book of my mothers called "The Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs".  And from then on my interest took root.  My path has always been unexpected, non-linear, and unconventional, and my studies have always paralleled that path. I have lead a life deepening my understanding about organic farming, nutrition, slow food cooking, holistic health, meditation, and herbalism.

About 16 years ago I made a commitment to myself to bring a spiritual practice into my daily life.  This not only embodied taking care of myself through better diet and lifestyle choices but also, and even more so, this commitment was about taking better care of my spirit and emotional wellbeing.

in 2013 my grandmother June passed away. She had a gentle soul and was a strong, practical, understated woman who lead a very modest life.  Somehow, in her life of simplicity, she managed to save some money to give to each of her three grandchildren.  A gesture that was very heart-opening and unexpected to all of us.  I decided to start June Wellness with her gift.

Not far after, I found out that coming from a long line of Swiss ancestry, my grandmothers' great grandmother was an herbalist in a small village in the Swiss Alps.  When I heard this I almost cried. We are all interconnected and to feel connected to a line of women and ancient past down tradition feels so special and true.

With my grandmothers in my heart I offer an approach to help heal and support you in the daily difficulties of life.
