I’ve been developing my own meditation practice under one tradition for 17 years and have been leading meditation with groups for the past 6 years. I use techniques rooted in MINDFULNESS practice. One of the main techniques I use is called object meditation also know as Shinay or Shamata.  

 


Mental health, awareness and anti-stress techniques are becoming more and more essential in the office setting. With burnout, depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders becoming more and more prevalent in our country, meditation is quickly proving to be just as important as diet and exercise.

Now even more than ever, employees are needing mental health support.

Meditation has been shown to improve focus, release anxiety, improve sleep, concentration, and help obtain an overall more positive mindset and emotional state. Research has shown that 8 weeks of practicing meditation everyday has drastically improved peoples state of well being.

I am very much a rule breaker, and I teach in that manner. There is no specific way that you need to show up for a meditation session….in fact, it’s best not to come prepared or with expectations at all! Come when you’re busy, come when you’re bored, come when you don’t have time, come when your thoughts are racing, and come when you have a deadline.… these can be the richest and most insightful times to meditate.  

I am a very hands-on teacher. Every class is different. I guide your team into very specific mindfulness-based practices as well as practices that extend into gratitude practices. I often leave room for questions and reflections. I provide accountability and forward planning to help you apply mindfulness to your life.  We talk, we share, and we practice mindfulness meditation together.
