About The Ingredients
We put a lot of effort into sourcing natural, ethically harvested, and certified organic ingredients. A great product goes beyond just the end result, It must start from the source, the plants, the soil, the production and the care of each ingredient from start to finish. Because of this, we treat each ingredient with the upmost care and respect. We make our products in small batches and blend with little or no heat resulting in highly activated skincare rich in nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals that are easily absorbed.
We use no artificial preservatives, parabens, chemicals, or other ingredients that have been shown to have adverse health effects on the body. If a certified organic ingredient is not available, we always make sure to source ingredients that have been cold pressed, steam distilled, ethically harvested and processed without the use of harsh chemicals.
June Botanicals will always use 80% or higher USDA Certified Organic ingredients and 100% plant based ingredients. We research every single ingredient to make sure that it is completely void of any type of chemical processing. for example: a refined oil may be certified organic but extracted by using chemicals like hexane at high temperatures which breaks down the nutrients of the oil. Most essential oils and natural perfumes are extracted by using hexane, acetone, di-methylene-chloride. These chemicals are known carcinogens and can deeply effect the health of your liver, kidneys, central nervous systems and therefore your skin. We make sure to use only cold-pressed oils and therapeutic grade essential oils that are co2 extracted.
We use QUALITY ASSURANCE WITH ETHICALLY SOURCED PRODUCTS. Everything we used is ethically sourced (even the packaging). When possible, we source things grown and produced in the U.S. Preferably close to home in the Pacific Northwest or California. We will never use an ingredient that is endangered (like rosewood or sandalwood), or that is endangering other species to obtain it (like palm oil). We source from companies and/or farms that carry the same belief systems as us.
Packaging & Sustainability
Because the health of our earth is just as important as each of us: Our packaging is minimal. We re-use our shipping materials and carefully bottle our products in violet glass, a glass that has been proven to keep uv light out so what's inside stays active and preserved longer than any other bottle out there. This beautiful glass is recyclable but we hope that you will find it reusable as well. :)
